A coastal city in the Mid-West region of Western Australia is seeking to appoint a full time Director Clinical Services Mental Health. The Director Clinical Services Mental Health is responsible, in partnership with the Regional Manager Mental Health and Community Alcohol and Drug Service, for the strategic development, coordination, integration, monitoring and evaluation of the Midwest Mental Health and Community Alcohol Drug Service (MH&CADS). This is an opportunity for the right candidate to be able to work across multiple professional areas including adult/older adult Mental Health, alcohol and drug, working with aboriginal people and working in rural and remote areas.

Whether it is water sports, a spot of fishing or just to relax – the beaches are world-class.
The area has a population of around 64,884 and the hospital is the largest health campus in the area. This is an exciting time to be joining the team. The community mental health and drug and alcohol service is undergoing a significant reform at the moment and an inpatient unit and a short stay unit are in the process of being built with practical completion by 2022. There is also a step-up step-down facility being built as well. This in an opportunity for the right applicant to have a major impact on the development of the service to enable its vision of providing best care to the community.
Salary: MP Year 1-9 $354,487 – $451,677 p.a. (inclusive of base salary, 9.5% superannuation and professional development allowance)
