We are seeking the services of an Emergency Medicine physician to join a 300+ bed facility in Queensland.
The Emergency Department has approximately 50,000 attendances each year with an admission rate of 25%. They deal with the full spectrum of Emergency Care with trauma and resuscitation is a core component of their work along with the management of routine emergency/urgent patient presentations.
The department has a significant paediatric load and they have a new department designed with suitable clinical space for the anticipated clinical workload.
The Department is staffed with Senior Medical Officers/ FACEM’s FACRRM’s offering 16-hour senior floor presence with after hours on-call. They provide non-clinical time based on the demand of the allocated portfolios. Day and evening shifts are distributed within the three work areas in the Department. They utilise Tele-health to assist in prioritisation and care for those patients being transferred from more remote areas of Central Queensland.
